Former £7 million Rangers player’s “desire” is questioned, thus he is unable to move to England.
Ryan Kent, a former winger for Rangers, was not allowed to return to England because Hull City owner Acun Ilicali turned his
attention away from the misfit from Fenerbahce.
Things have quieted down around Ryan Kent after rumors surfaced just before Christmas that the former Liverpool player may be
returning to the UK, just a few months after leaving Ibrox for Istanbul.
Since being acquired by Turkish tycoon Acun Ilicali, Hull City has made a number of high-profile acquisitions; however, a player who
previously cost Rangers an astounding £7 million will not be joining Jean-Michel Seri, Ozan Tufan, and Fabio Carvalho on Humberside.
In an interview with GunHaber, Ilicali acknowledges that, despite Kent having played just one Super League minute since the
beginning of November, he just didn’t see the “desire” from the Englishman to launch his career at Hull.

Regarding Ryan Kent, this is a significant matter. Ilicali says, “Desires, appetite, and the desire to play are important.”
He says Hull have now turned their attention to Abdulkadir Omur of Trabzonspor, who was once thought of as Turkey’s Lionel Messi
and was the target of a £23 million bid from none other than Manchester City.
Ilicali continues, “(Omur) is a fan favorite, and he became a fan favorite (at Hull).” “We looked to another football player because we could not see this appetite in Ryan Kent.”
Hull City turn to Trabzonspor ace
Along with Alfredo Morelos, Kent left Ibrox when his contract expired in July. There have been rumors in some quarters that he may
return to Glasgow’s blue side. But it looks like Rangers have silenced those rumors. Oscar Cortes of RC Lens is another right-footed
left winger that Philippe Clement’s team is slated to sign. The explosive Colombian will replace “long-term” absence Abdallah Sima.
Meanwhile, Ilicali is pressuring fellow countryman Ridvan Yilmaz to quit Rangers prior to the Super Lig transfer window closing on
February 9th, as Galatasaray is interested in the former Besiktas left-back.
