The 24-year-old Ecuadorian only joined Glasgow from Los Angeles FC in the summer under Michael Beale.

Oscar Cortes will have a Rangers medical when a January deal is agreed upon, avoiding the chance of a hijacking.

However, it is reported that new boss Philippe Clement will let the midfielder to leave the club after just six months.

Since signing his four-year contract,

he has made only 20 appearances in a Light Blue shirt.

Last week, it was revealed that Turkish club Rizespor had agreed to a loan agreement with Rangers,

with the option to buy the player for £2 million in the summer.

However, it is thought that Cifuentes did not enjoy the transfer to Turkey.

the yellow card that had been flashed in front of the on-loan Ipswich player.

but VAR and Irvine both felt his follow-through deserved a red card.

Killie manager Derek McInnes made his emotions on the topic known after the game,

stating that the judgment altered the direction of the game,

allowing Hibs to draw 2-2 at Rugby Park.

On BBC Sportscene, the former Rangers and Celtic pundits clashed over the contentious decision.

The tape opens with host Steven Thomson asking the former Dundee United defender for his thoughts on the call.

The on-loan Arsenal defender missed nearly two months of the La Liga season due to a hamstring injury sustained in October.

And his injury jinx struck again after he was forced to leave this week’s Copa del Rey quarterfinal victory over Celta Vigo, limping off six minutes before halftime.

Real Sociedad manager Imanol Alguacil disclosed that they are now awaiting his scan results to determine the degree of the damage.
