Rangers ‘grant permission’ for club to speak to Cifuentes
The 24-year-old Ecuadorian only joined Glasgow from Los Angeles FC in the summer under Michael Beale.
However, it is reported that new boss Philippe Clement will let the midfielder to leave the club after just six months.
Since signing his four-year contract,
he has made only 20 appearances in a Light Blue shirt.
Last week, it was revealed that Turkish club Rizespor had agreed to a loan agreement with Rangers,
with the option to buy the player for £2 million in the summer.
However, it is thought that Cifuentes did not enjoy the transfer to Turkey.
Alan Nixon of The Sun claims that Rangers have given the 24-year-old clearance to speak with Brazilian Serie A team Cruzeiro instead.
Prior to joining the MLS,
Cifuentes played in South America with Universidad Católica in his home country in 2020.
