A report claims that Rangers have allowed a South American team to talk with midfielder Jose Cifuentes.

The 24-year-old Ecuadorian under Michael Beale only moved to Glasgow from LAFC in the summer.

However, it’s thought that Philippe Clement, the new manager,

will permit the midfield player to leave the team after just six months.

Only twenty games have he played for the Light Blues since agreeing to a four-year contract.

It was revealed last week that Rangers and Turkish team Rizespor had struck an agreement for the player to start on loan,

with a £2 million buyout option in the summer.

It is known, meanwhile, that Cifuentes disliked moving to Turkey.

Now, according to Alan Nixon of The Sun, the 24-year-old can speak with Cruzeiro, a Serie A team in Brazil, because Rangers have

given him permission to do so.

Prior to joining the MLS in 2020, Cifuentes was a player at Universidad Católica in his native South America.

Neil McCann, meanwhile, expressed to Charlie Mulgrew his disapproval of Corrie Ndaba’s red card

for Kilmarnock on Saturday, calling it “appalled.”

Grant Irvine gave the left-back his marching orders after a VAR check persuaded the referee to upgrade the yellow card that had

initially flashed in the Ipswich man’s direction.

The 24-year-old clearly won the ball with his forceful attack on Jair Tavares of Hibernian, but it was evident to Irvine and VAR that his

follow-through called for a red card.

Derek McInnes, the manager of Killie, expressed his emotions over the matter after the game, stating that the choice altered the

outcome of the match, allowing Hibs to draw 2-2 at Rugby Park.

Additionally, the former Celtic and Rangers commentators disagreed over the contentious choice on BBC Sportscene.

In the opening scene of the video, host Steven Thomson asks the former Dundee United defender about the call.
