Galatasaray could look elsewhere as Ridvan Yilmaz transfer talks drag on

Galatasaray have lined up a “Plan B” should talks with Rangers over a move for Ridvan Yilmaz fall through, according to Dailysport news. On Sunday, January 28, the Sports Digitale reporter announced on his own Twitter account that talks between the two teams are still going on.

According to reports, the Rangers intend to either loan Ridvan with an obligatory buyout option at the end of the season, or sell him outright this month.

The full-back is reportedly only going to stay in Turkish football until the end of the current campaign,

at which point he intends to explore for other opportunities to further his career.

“If Ridvan is not present in Galatasaray,

official communication with a foreign player has increased as a backup plan,” Suzgun continued.Regarding the Rangers,

the main topic of discussion in the gossip columns this month has been Ridvan Yilmaz’s future.

The Turkey international has had difficulty making a convincing case for himself as Borna Barisic’s long-term left-back replacement.

Although Ridvan is still a key member of the Gers,

it is more and more likely that he will not play for Ibrox in the future.

It’s possible that Jefte’s impending arrival from Fluminense may influence Ridvan’s choice of staying or leaving.

But that choice needs to be taken quickly because the transfer window is about to close in a few days.

must consent to sign a permanent contract with Galatasaray now or in the summer for this agreement to go through.

Rangers will run out of time to find another interested club to take him on board if he is keen on joining a different team in six months.

Thomas is wanted by Philippe Clement’s team,

with left back being their top position this month.
