According to an exciting update from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Rangers have “reached an agreement” with a player about a January transfer to Ibrox.

Rangers Transfer News

The Gers secured an important 1-0 win away to St Mirren on Saturday afternoon,

keeping their Scottish Premiership title ambitions alive. Away from the pitch,

additional signings may occur in the coming days to help their prospects of winning the league this season,

with deals already completed for Fabio Silva and Mohamed Diomande.

Fluminense defender Jefte has been linked with a transfer to Ibrox,

with the 20-year-old potentially replacing current left-back Borna Barisic.

Million Manhoef, a Vitesse defender, has also been projected to join Rangers in the near future,

with the 22-year-old scoring four goals and assisting once in the Eredivisie in 2023/24 thus far.

Gijs Smal is also a target,

with the Dutchman regarded as another left-back who can come in and improve that part of the pitch.

It appears to be Rangers’ primary goal between now and the end of the January transfer window,

and a significant update has emerged regarding their operations.

Rangers are close to signing. Jefte

According to Romano on X, Rangers are close to completing the signing of Fluminense left-back Jefte,

with a deal in place to sign him this month.

This is fantastic news for Rangers, as left-back is a priority this month,

and Jefte might be a key part of their long-term plans.

At only 20 years old, the Brazilian is still a very young player with little senior experience –

he has yet to make a first-team appearance for Fluminense –

but he has the potential to develop as a footballer over time,

starting as a squad player. He has appeared 25 times for their Under-20s,

registering six goal contributions (two goals and four)  in that time,

not to mention getting seven in 20 for APOEL Nicosia

Sealing the deal might be especially vital if Barisic leaves Rangers before deadline day next Thursday,

with a transfer to Serie A heavyweights Roma rumored, as well as Ridvan Yilmaz potentially joining Galatasaray.
