The outlet notes in its online version [January 27, 2019] that no new bid has been made for Gers left-back Ridvan Yilmaz as of yet.

Galatasaray is reportedly getting ready to make another bid for Ridvan after their first attempt was rejected.

According to the report, “Gers sources insist that Galatasaray has not submitted a new bid for Ridvan Yilmaz.”

Brazilian full-back Jefte is anticipated to sign with the German team within the next 48 hours, and the Turk has been strongly connected to a move back home.

“Galatasaray made one bid, which Rangers have already turned down; the Turkish powerhouses are now evaluating a better offer.”

Is there one out and one in?

The Gers are moving forward with this Jefte deal despite the uncertainty surrounding Ridvan.

To put it another way, the Brazilian is presently on loan at APOEL in Cyprus, and they need to approve the termination of that contract.

But based on this report, it appears that everything is on track to be completed before the deadline next week. This raises questions about Ridvan’s future as he started Saturday’s 1-0 victory over St. Mirren instead of Borna Barisic.

The Turkey international is obviously worth a certain amount to the Gers, and they won’t sell him until Galatasaray pays that amount in full.

By the time we host Livingston, Jefte will probably be in and Ridvan out because the Gers won’t be playing for another week.
