Personal problems emerge as Philippe Clement tells Rangers player he can leave now

As Tera Deportes reports, Philippe Clement himself has approved Jose Cifuentes‘ imminent departure because he has had difficulty adjusting to life at Ibrox.

According to a report on X 27 January, Cifuentes’ dream of performing in Europe has been thwarted by a change in management, injury concerns, the harsh Scottish winters, and personal matters.

It is believed that Clement has consented to allow the midfield player to leave the team this month in exchange for a loan, with Turkish team Rizespor’s offer accepted.

They stated, “The dream come true of Ecuadorian player José Cifuentes to become a professional athlete has turned into a nightmare.”

“Unfortunately, it will be challenging to adjust to this change due to injuries, the chilly winter in Glasgow, personal issues, and the Rangers’ new coach.”

Before the current season started, the 24-year-old was one of Michael Beale’s numerous summer additions. The Colombian joined from LAFC on a four-year contract worth £1.2 million. [Sky Sports]

Cifuentes’ ability on the field is seriously questioned because he struggled to establish himself under Beale in all competitions and has no clear memories to date.

The midfielder has struggled with injuries, which has limited his opportunities to show off his skills on the field. It makes sense that he has found it challenging to adjust to life abroad without football.

Clement can afford to lose Cifuentes because Rangers are once again more loaded in the midfield with Tom Lawrence and Nico Raskin back and Todd Cantwell filling in for him lately.

Due to his lack of playing time in the Scottish Premiership since a December match against Dundee, Clement has had to be resourceful in his midfield choices and use full-back Dujon Sterling in place of the injured player.

Rangers appear ready to break up since this relationship hasn’t at all succeeded.
