Steph Curry Reacts To Not Being Named An All-Star Starter

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors will not start in the All-Star Game for the first time in ten years.

Even though he has continued to record All-Star-caliber numbers and is sure to be selected,

it was still somewhat surprising to see his run come to an end.

Nevertheless, in response to a question concerning that, the renowned sharpshooter expressed nothing but admiration and the highest

regard for the men who were chosen before him, saying that he never takes that for granted and that they

most certainly deserve it (via Warriors on NBC Sports).

Curry is 35 years old already, so it’s only natural to see that some younger players could take his place;

it’s just the way it’s supposed to be.

He had been a starter in every year but 2019-20 when an injury limited him to just five games all season.

Still, it’s not like his numbers aren’t All-Star-worthy.

He’s averaging 26.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 4.6 three-pointers per game on 44% shooting, 40% from beyond the arc, and

a league-best and career-high 92.7% from the free-throw line.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luka Doncic got the nod to be the backcourt starters from the Western Conference, which is no surprise,

considering how well their teams have fared and the video game-like numbers

they’ve posted since the beginning of the season.

The Warriors have struggled to find their footing this year, but they still have time to turn things around.

So, beware, as the league has just poked the bear, and Stephen Curry will make sure to

let everybody know that he’s far from done yet.
