Philippe Clement reveals four Rangers injury absentees for St Mirren clash
The Gers Manager Philippe Clement has released a Rangers injury update ahead of their Scottish Premiership match against St Mirren.
The Ibrox manager has revealed that Kieran Dowell, Ben Davies, Kemar Roofe, and Danilo will all be absent for the match.
Clement will, however, have both Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin available for selection, providing a boost to the club.
In his news conference today, he stated: “Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin are ready for action tomorrow and will be available – Kieran Dowell, Ben Davies, Kemar Roofe, and Danilo are out.”
Clement also disclosed that teenager Alex Lowry had returned from a loan spell at Hearts with an injury.
The Scottish youth was supposed to go out on loan again for the second half of the season, but that now appears improbable.
Clement added, “Alex Lowry returned from Hearts with an injury and will be sidelined for the next 6-8 weeks. We didn’t realize the extent of his injury when he first returned.
“Every manager wishes they had a crystal ball; we don’t yet know which players will leave. We’re focused on today and winning our next game with the players we have here right now.
“Alex Lowry is a great player who developed while on loan, and we’re unhappy he’s injured. It is difficult for him to receive minutes here, so it is not the best circumstance.”
