Galatasaray manager spoke with Rangers left-back Ridvan Yilmaz over the phone: the player wants the Ibrox loan to end after deciding to buy
According to Fotomac, Okan Buruk spoke with Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz directly over a possible loan swap to Galatasaray
during the January transfer window.
On Friday, January 26, the Turkish newspaper said on its website that the 22-year-old left-back’s
discussions with the Super Lig club’s manager for a temporary return to Istanbul were “positive.”
Although the Turkish international seems to be seeking for a way out of Ibrox this month, it was noted that he does not want an
option-to-buy provision to be included in the agreement.
Given that no deal has been completed with Rangers, it is totally out of order if the most recent report about
Yilmaz having previously met with Buruk is to be true.
From the player’s point of view, it is improper because it demonstrates a lack of respect for his company,
but Galatasaray is also acting completely unprofessionally.
In order to enable the defender to leave Ibrox during this transfer window, the Gers have made it clear that they
must obtain payment for the player.
There’s no way the club should be even considering a direct loan deal, considering that he’s earned his way into Philippe Clement’s
starting lineup in recent weeks and has a contract that runs until 2027.
The Light Blues must not back down since their player shouldn’t be permitted to depart until it is in the best interests of the team. The
situation is probably going to last until the deadline.
