Cameron Carter-Vickers pledges to Celtic for the future
With great pleasure, Celtic announces that Cameron Carter-Vickers has extended his contract
with the club for five and a half years, till 2029.The 26-year-old American international has
been a standout player for the Hoops since his initial 2021 arrival, when he was brought in on
a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur before moving permanently the following year.
He has made 101 appearances for Celtic to date and has scored five goals, the first being against
Ross County in September 2021, when he made his club debut.The center defender has won five
trophies in the last several seasons, including two league crowns, two League Cups, and the Scottish
Cup as part of a historic Treble victory. He has been a vital component of the club’s success.
“I am truly thrilled to sign this new contract with Celtic,” Cameron declared. I have been a
part of some truly amazing moments over the past few years and I have always liked everything
about the club. You always play the game to win, therefore it has been an honor and a huge deal
for me to be a part of some incredible Celtic victories. Ever moment I arrived, the Celtic supporters
have shown me such love and support. There is nothing better than playing at a full Celtic Park,
and I am thrilled to be playing my football here. We all know how much our fans love and care
about the team. We will all be doing everything we can to bring our fans more and more success
over the next few years. I have really enjoyed working with the Manager, the staff,
and great teammates. The Celtic fans have been very loving and supportive of me since
the day I came. I am excited to be playing football here because there is nothing better
than playing at a packed Celtic Park. We’re all aware of the adoration and devotion our
fans have for the squad. Over the next five years, we’ll all be doing everything in our power
to provide our fans ever-greater success. Working with the manager, the employees,
and my fantastic teammates has been a true pleasure. He’s a great pleasure to deal with
because of his character, his passion to the game, and his abilities as a player.
