Celtic receive a ‘game-changing’ offer

Celtic are prepared for more bids for Matt O’Riley after Atletico Madrid made

the initial move with a loan-then-buy agreement for the Denmark midfielder,

which could be worth up to £20 million.

The Herald then described the offer as a ‘game-changer’ in terms of the club’s attitude on O’Riley,

but the club must reinvest if they accept a bid for the 23-year-old.

According to the Sun, there would be an initial loan fee,

with subsequent payments potentially totaling £20 million,

but the Hoops are expected to reject that approach.

Rodgers has made it clear that he wants to keep the 23-year-old, but with advances from Diego Simeone’s club,

it could be a difficult task for the Hoops manager.

is looking for a move away from Watford and has made a transfer request.

but has only made eight substitute appearances this season.
