According to sources, Ridvan Yilmaz wants to stay at Rangers despite offers from Galatasaray.

Yilmaz has fitted nicely at Rangers and is overjoyed to have made his debut. He refuses to return to Istanbul,

despite offers from Turkish giants.

Despite transfer rumors linking Yilmaz to Hellas Verona and Galatasaray,

Yilmaz wishes to remain in Glasgow.

According to many rumors in Turkish media, the Lions have made an offer and agreed on personal terms with Yilmaz.

As of yet, the Lions have yet to reach an agreement with Yilmaz and have not spoken with him directly.

The talks are between Galatasaray and Rangers.

The defender does not want to leave after earning the manager’s trust and breaking into the team.

He hopes to play frequently for Rangers and get called up to Turkey’s national squad for the European Championship this summer.

The absence of depth at left-back, with only Yilmaz and

Yilmaz has started Rangers’ last five league games and scored in their 3-0 away win over Hibernian yesterday.

The 24-year-old also contributed an assist in the previous game, a 3-1 away victory over Kilmarnock.

Rangers have won four of the previous five games in which Yilmaz has started and played the full 90 minutes.

Clement and Ibrox recruitment manager Nils Koppen are thought to have conducted significant study and background checks on the Ivory Coast under-21 before making their move.

Diomande is set to become the club’s first permanent acquisition this month,

following the loan signing of Fabio Silva from Wolves earlier in the window.

Diomande has received glowing reviews in the Danish top division and has five assists in 21 games this season.

He has made 111 appearances for FC Nordsjaelland in all competitions,

scoring 13 goals and assisting 14 times.

Clement is eager to bring in additional recruits before the window closes,

but may have to move players off their books first.
