Philippe Clement tells journalists several Rangers transfer rumours are “wrong”
The manager of Rangers, Philippe Clement, has attacked “false rumors” regarding the Ibrox team’s January transfer activity.
The Belgian manager was speaking following the Scottish Premiership victory, where the Gers firmly resumed their title challenge
with a 3-0 victory against Hibs.
However, because the January transfer market is open, reporters couldn’t help but question Philippe Clement about the club’s future
plans since the Gers team is getting better every game.
In addition, the former manager of Monaco and Club Brugge, in his signature manner, didn’t give a damn about any potential
transfers, even though he did criticize some of the circulating rumors.
Philippe Clement: Rangers “need” transfer deals
When initially asked if the Rangers manager would cause his team a “headache” by recruiting more players in January, Clement
argued that any fresh arrivals were more about necessity than unneeded competition.
Rangers will be playing this season in the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup, and Europa League.
“We’re going to need that (new signings) in the squad, to be competitive in three competitions,” Clement stated. However, this does
not imply that a new player will automatically be able to play.
It’s all about showcasing who you are and what makes you the greatest. And it doesn’t matter if someone is brand-new, expensive,
seventeen or thirty-seven, or has the largest or smallest contract on the team—what matters is what you demonstrate in the training.
