Although he acknowledges that his Rangers players are giving him headaches, Philippe Clement says it’s a good thing.

Rangers manager Philippe Clement praised his team after they triumphed at Easter Road to kick off their Premiership winter break.

However, he also disclosed that the degree of competition in the squad has been giving him issues.

With one game remaining, the Ibrox team has moved within five points of league rivals Celtic with to their three points against Hibs.

Despite this, the club is still aiming to bolster their roster before the transfer window shuts. Clement wants the players he now has

available to him to realize what is helping them win games and stick to the formula that works.

“I hope that even after a number of successes, people continue to see things from the right perspective. It isn’t just raining from the

sky. It involves a great deal of work, a great deal of unity, and not having an excessively large ego to play for oneself. I will thus enforce

that strictly and consider the team while making judgments.

“I told them after practice on Tuesday that they make it difficult for me to choose a starting eleven right now. But that’s a positive

thing. In the upcoming months, I hope they give me a lot of headaches.

The Ibrox gaffer feels there is still competitiveness among the players, despite the absence of Abdallah Sima, who underwent surgery

for a thigh injury and is expected to be sidelined for “between two or three months.”

“The team must be competitive in three different competitions. While that is necessary, it does not guarantee that a new player will

play. The goal is to demonstrate your superiority. I don’t give a damn if someone is new, expensive, seventeen or twenty-seven, or has

the team’s largest or smallest deal. It’s what you demonstrate during training as well as your desire to fit in with the team.

After a 3-0 victory in Leith, where goals came from Cyriel Dessers, Todd Cantwell, and Rivdan Yilmaz,

Clement feels there’s always space for more.

“More goals are always necessary. That still has room for improvement. We had a few opportunities to be more composed or to have a

better picture, but those are the actions that we must take as a team. Every day, we have a lot of projects underway. Every player has

improved from three months ago, as you can see. I have not seen a single player who has dropped his game, and this is what we need

to accomplish as a team—all the players and the staff combined—to be driven, ambitious, and to keep improving.

I will then decide what to do.

“Everyone demonstrates to themselves that they are eager for the team and offer everything they have—not for themselves. They’ll

have the opportunity to play. There are lots of games here.

Although Ridvan has been linked to a move to Galatasaray, the Rangers manager was pleased with his performance.
