£20m man reportedly wanted Rangers move but now re-joins former club instead
Emmanuel Dennis, a Premier League misfit who was reportedly eager on a move to Rangers, has officially rejoined his former side Watford from
Nottingham Forest.
Reports from Belgium seemed to indicate at the beginning of the month that Philippe Clement and a player who flourished under his tutelage at Club
Brugge would actually get back together.
After losing his position at Nottingham Forest, Emmanuel Dennis spent the summer on loan at Istanbul Basaksehir. The Nigerian international would
have loved the chance to work with Clement again at Ibrox, according to reporter Sacha Tavolieri, even if it seemed like Dennis was being offered to
Rangers rather than Rangers giving themselves to Dennis.
Rangers ignore Emmanuel Dennis chance
The club has received a proposal for Emmanuel Dennis,” Tavolieri tweeted on X. However, as of right present, no formal contact has been made.
However, I can vouch for the player’s desire in joining Rangers.
Not long later, though, the connection became chilly.
Abdallah Sima’s “long-term” injury kept him out of the game, so it’s unclear if Rangers regret missing out on this chance. Dennis is reconciling with
his previous team rather than his former manager.
Back to where it began in England
Dennis will once again be wearing the yellow and black jersey, Watford announced via their official website on Wednesday lunchtime. Dennis will be
arriving on loan from Nottingham Forest and will play until the summer. Valerien Ismael’s team could make a late push for the Championship play-
offs if the deft, left-sided attacker can resurrect his form from his first stint at Vicarage Road, when he scored 10 goals and assisted six more.
Mohamed Diomande, a Nordsjaelland midfielder, is apparently about to come at Ibrox for roughly £4.5 million. Rangers are supposedly close to
completing a deal for him, while many other left-backs are still being connected, though it seems unlikely that any will arrive as long as Ridvan Yilmaz
remains in place.
