Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs breaks Tom Brady’s record in the playoff victory over the Buffalo Bills.

The playoffs are just one game away for the reigning champs. The Kansas City Chiefs are in the middle of another successful postseason run.

In spite of a lackluster 2023 campaign, the Chiefs are performing well in the postseason, when it matters most.

The Chiefs advanced to their sixth consecutive AFC Championship Game after a close 27–24 victory over the Buffalo Bills in the

Divisional Round, in large part because of the dynamic between tight end Travis Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Mahomes and receiver Kelce tied the record for the most postseason touchdowns scored by a quarterback and receiver combination

with two touchdowns each during the game, bringing their total to 16.

Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady, who combined for 15 postseason touchdowns in their playing careers, formerly owned this record.

When the Chiefs play the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, Mahomes and Kelce will have an opportunity to raise this total. A victory would put the Chiefs in the Super Bowl for the second time in a row and advance them one step closer to successfully defending their championship.
