Darvin Ham Speaks On Warriors Assistant Dejan Milojević‘s Surprise Death
This past week, the NBA community grieved at the loss of Dejan Milojević, the assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors. The
clubs who paid tribute to Milojević before their Wednesday night matchup against the Dallas Mavericks included the Los Angeles
Lakers. Darvin Ham, the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, sent his condolences to the Warriors
and Milojević’s family prior to the game.
Milojević unfortunately passed away on Wednesday morning after suffering a heart attack. He was 46.
The heart attack occurred Tuesday night in Salt Lake City during a private dinner. Lifesaving measures were attempted at a nearby
hospital when he was brought there, but they proved insufficient. Former footballer Milojević played in Europe for fifteen years. He
won the YUBA championship three times, the ABA MVP award three times, and the ABA best scorer award twice. He has spent the
last three years as a coach with the Warriors after beginning his career with the KK Mega Basket in the Basketball League of Serbia. The world of basketball lost a great one. I hope he finds peace.
