He has previously served as assistant manager at St. Mirren and Sunderland in addition to managing Queen of South.

Fowler played much of his playing career for Kilmarnock,

where he captained the team and amassed over 400 appearances.  Before moving into coaching and administrative jobs,

he also had stints with Bristol City and Queen of the South.

He is currently slated to take on what may be his biggest behind-the-scenes position.

This is definitely a calculated move on the part of Rangers,

given his extensive background in football operations at Kilmarnock and his coaching positions at St. Mirren and Sunderland,

which illustrate his grasp of player development and recruitment.

With a solid playing career and a diverse coaching background,

Fowler brings valuable insights to enhance Gers’ academy structure, aligning with the club’s commitment to nurturing and recruiting top talent for future success.

The club places a lot of emphasis on being self-sufficient,

so having elite academy players who can command seven- and eight-figure transfer prices will undoubtedly help them reach their financial goals. In other Rangers news,

who are ten points clear at the top of the nation’s top flight,

were going to make it a perfect 18 from 18.

But Sam Lamme had other ideas and gave both Rangers a glimpse into his talent and hope that maybe recouping £2.5m for his services isn’t so far-fetched Sam Lammers’

assist v PSV showed why Utrecht were so eager to bring the forward on loan from Rangers and –

whisper it quietly – perhaps why the Ibrox side paid Atalanta £3.5m for his services.
