James Fowler, a legend of Kilmarnock, is supposedly the “frontrunner” to become the new head of academy recruitment at Rangers.

The Daily Record claims that the previous head of Queen of the South is the front-runner for the position.

Fowler has served as Jack Ross’s dugout assistant at St. Mirren and Sunderland in addition to his prior position as director of football

operations at Kilmarnock.

Zurab Amirian was just hired as the head of Rangers’ reorganized academy, and he has some improvements in store.

Speaking after his appointment, he said: “I’m very excited because working for Rangers is a dream come true. It’s not only a proud moment for myself, but also for my family.

“The integration visits that I had were a big plus for me; I got the chance to get to know the people, culture and environment better.

“I’ve been treated like one of the locals by everyone here. A lot of really effective stuff is already in place, and I hope my twelve years of

experience as a coach will be able to enhance it.

“I am driven to contribute my vigor and enthusiasm and transfer it to the instructors and athletes in the program.” As a member of the

Rangers, it is imperative that you work hard and have passion.

“You can see the fire in their eyes. I’ve already spent a lot of time on the field with the guys.

They have a great deal of passion and are eager to learn.
