Former teammate tips Rangers linked striker for incredible Celtic switch

Lawrence Shankland’s old teammate at Hearts has predicted that

the much sought-after striker will make an incredible transfer to Scottish champions Celtic.

After a goal-filled first half of the season, the Jambos striker has been heavily linked to a move to

Old Firm rivals Rangers throughout the January transfer window.

However, former St. Mirren colleague Stephen McGinn has said

he can see value in a move to the green side of Glasgow.

After netting 18 goals for the Edinburgh team,

Shankland’s Hearts contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.

However, he has received an offer to extend his stay with the team.

But now that the better bid appears to have been rejected,

several teams are allegedly on high alert,

and McGinn believes a move  to the Hoops would be

the ideal transfer as he takes ‘one last step’ in his career.

Speaking recently on Go Radio, McGinn stated that “Celtic need another striker” in reference to

the player he played alongside at St Mirren in the 2016–2017 campaign.

“Kyogo cemented his position as the star of the most recent Rangers game.

What they most likely lack, though, is that Oh simply has Shankland’s knack of nicking

the goal when he enters the game with roughly 20 minutes remaining and you are pressing for a goal.

Therefore, I’m convinced that he is mentioned.

In terms of talent, Lawrence Shankland had reached the lowest point of his career.

During his second time at St Mirren, he had dropped out of the team.

Not the most enjoyable time at Morton.

descends to Ayr, a Scottish football team in the third division, and really picks things up there.

He has since become a Scottish international and been connected to Celtic,

thus this is likely his final move in his career.

Everyone is waiting on him to produce it, McGinn continued.
