Ryan Jack’s time at Rangers is officially over, and Philippe Clement is getting closer to making another move to Ibrox.
Ryan Jack’s future at Rangers under Philippe Clement is looking less and less certain as the team gets closer to signing Mohamed Diomande.

Rangers are closing in on another move after Fabio Silva, and on January 21st, Danish news site B.T. said that the Gers have negotiated a deal with Danish side FC Nordsjaelland to clinch the signature of the 22-year-old midfielder this month.

The Ivory Coast age-grade international will have a medical examination with Rangers “in the coming days,” according to the report penned by Farzam Abolhosseini. Four Lads revealed on January 21 that the transfer would potentially be finalized this coming week.

The Ivorian has departed FC Nordsjaelland’s training camp and is scheduled to “put pen to paper” on an agreement to join the Light Blues, according to information released by Rangers Review on January 21. It appears that Clement and new recruitment manager Nils Koppen were the driving forces behind this signing.

Due to their problems with squad depth and crucial player injuries, midfielders have always been high on the priority list at Ibrox this January. This has frequently resulted in Dujon Sterling filling in outside of his customary right-back position.

Plagued by injuries

Jack is one of the players who has been plagued by injuries lately. He hasn’t played for the Light Blues since their 2-0 Scottish

Premiership victory over Livingston in November due to an additional injury.

He joined the Rangers in the summer of 2017, although in more than six years, he has barely reached 200 appearances in all competitions for the team.

With the exception of this season and the shortened 2019–20 season, he has averaged just 18 appearances in the normal 33-game season. Since 2017, he has only participated in 10 games following the end-of-season split.

The thing that aggravates Jack the most about his problems is that many of them were either brought on by or made worse by his time serving abroad for Scotland.

According to the Scottish Sun on November 27, there will be discussions regarding whether he will ever play for Scotland once more.

However, this should have been decided upon long ago, as his repeated, meaningless appearances for his country may have put an end

to his Rangers career.

Arrival of Diomande

With the incredible arrival of Diomande, Clement might now have his midfield arsenal fairly filled with the return of Nicolas Raskin

from injury, John Lundstram, Jose Cifuentes, and even Dujon Sterling, who has performed admirably when asked to play in the position.

With Diomande’s signing, Jack will undoubtedly be farther down the pecking order when he returns, and as his Ibrox deal is ending

this summer (Transfermarkt), there won’t be a chance for him to return to Clement’s plans.

The well-known 31-year-old has served the team admirably, but there will come a point when both sides must let go of one another. That time will undoubtedly arrive before the summer transfer window begins.
