Rangers star expresses “sadness” as yet another player succumbs to injury woe

The attacker for the Rangers, Abdallah Sima, has voiced his “sadness”

over missing Senegal’s AFCON campaign due to a hip ailment.

The 22-year-old Brighton loanee, who has been on fire for Rangers this season,

was called up to the Senegal team because of his 15 goals.

One of the favorites of the competition, Abdallah Sima seemed certain to make

his mark on the world scene among a number of young,

gifted players from the country in west Africa.

However, Abdallah Sima has now broken his social media silence on Senegal after

this “long period” ailment forced him to return to Rangers early for treatment.

Abdallah Sima thanked supporters on X in a message to all of his followers, describing it as a sad blow to everyone concerned.

In addition, the Ibrox attacker declared that he would keep his “heart”

with Senegal as they attempt to win the title in the Ivory Coast.

“I hope this group can win the trophy for our beautiful country because they deserve it,”

the message said in translated form.
