“America’s Team” is still taking hits, this time from a three-time Pro Bowler who tortured them for more than ten years, about a week after the Dallas Cowboys season ended suddenly.

On social media on Saturday, former wide receiver DeSean Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles expressed his happiness that the Cowboys were not participating in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Jackson’s perspective is further salt in a fresh wound, but it helps ease the sadness over his beloved Eagles’ identical late-season collapse.

The Cowboys, in contrast to the Eagles, went into the postseason with the enthusiasm of a team that was expected to go far, but their season ended in an unexpected loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Prior to publishing his scathing tweet on Saturday, Jackson has said a lot about the Eagles’ bitter foe.

When he was on “Up & Adams” earlier this week, he said that the Cowboys had been cursed since the Tony Romo days.
“They’re not the Cowboys of the 1990s anymore,” Jackson remarked.

“They are cursed, and something has to drastically alter.

If Jackson is right and Arlington needs change, it won’t happen in the background just yet.

Head coach Mike McCarthy will return to the Cowboys in 2024, the team has already declared.H

HoweverMcCarthy’s contract will not be extended, so he will effectively be on a one-year deal.

Jackson is the one who has the right to be critical of the Cowboys. The New York Giants were the only team he had more catches (61) and touchdowns (6) against during his 15 seasons in the NFL.

His 1,330 yards in 18 games against Dallas are third most in franchise history, only surpassed by Art Monk’s (1,357) and Charley Taylor’s (1,463) totals.
