Cowboys cheerleader chastises Packers players for their in-game actions
A cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys has been speaking out about what she saw at last week’s playoff game against the Green Bay Packers.
Darian Lassiter took to TikTok to give her perspective on the “disrespect” during the 14 January game. The Wild Card Round matchup ended with a win for the Packers with a final score of 48 to 32.
In her five years as an NFL cheerleader, she said, “So I cheer for the Cowboys and y’all I have never experienced such disrespect from the other team’s players to the cheerleaders.”
After then, the cheerleader started giving examples of the players’ actions throughout the football game. She claimed that the Packers would approach the Cowboys cheerleaders and “start yelling” after they scored a touchdown. Lassiter said that because the cheerleaders’ faces were occasionally just inches away from the yelling, personal boundaries weren’t always respected.
In her TikTok, she expressed her opinion that the behavior was unsportsmanlike. “It’s absurd that they can harm the cheerleaders without any consequences, but they can’t do that to Cowboys players or other players.”
Several people expressed their deep sympathy for Lassiter in the TikTok comments section after watching her video more than 600,000 times. One person wrote, “I can only imagine how uncomfortable and possibly unsafe that must have felt and it’s not like you can walk away. So distasteful.” Another commented, “I applaud you for speaking up. All the love from a lifelong Cowboys and DCC fan next door in Fort Worth. Rooting for any team but the Packers now as well.”
“As a fan of the Packers and a resident of GB, this is NOT the Packers way. I’m very sorry this happened to you!
Even one more cheerleader for the Cowboys wrote, “Amen! I was astonished by their obvious contempt for us.
Many others, however, expressed doubts about the cheerleader’s veracity and drew attention to the fact that she lacked any tangible proof of the incident.
