Aston Villa: Ty Bracey reacts as Chelsea hold behind-the-scenes talks over signing Jhon Duran in January

Ty Bracey doesn’t think Jhon Duran will move to Chelsea in the January transfer window from Aston Villa.

It follows on the heels of a tweet from January 15th by Nathan Gissing, an Italian journalist for the renowned Gianluca Di Marzio,

stating that the Colombian international was recently considered internally at Stamford Bridge as a possible short-term option this month.

He stated that while no final decision has been taken, Villa would need to have a good alternative in place if the

Blues were to make a firm commitment to the 20-year-old attacker.

If Duran were to leave Villa Park due to interest from Serie A powerhouse AC Milan earlier this month,

Bracey thinks it would be unlikely that he would remain in the Premier League.

In an exclusive interview with Villa News, Bracey stated: “To be really honest, I don’t see that trade going through.

“I don’t think he’ll stay in the Premier League if he leaves.

He has undoubtedly been strongly connected to AC Milan, but I don’t really believe he plays for Chelsea.

“To be honest, I don’t see that one happening.”
