T.O. thinks that until adjustments are made, the Cowboys won’t win “any time soon.” first broadcast on NBC Sports Bay Area

Terrell Owens believes the Dallas Cowboys, as they stand now, will never win another Super Bowl.

The Hall of Fame wide receiver has played for both the 49ers and the Cowboys,

so he has firsthand knowledge of both illustrious teams.

During “The Morning Roast” on Friday,

Owens spoke with Bonta Hill and Joe Shasky of 95.7 The Game about

Dallas’s first-round playoff exit following a 48-32 loss to the NFC’s

No. 7-seeded Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round.

Owens also expressed his belief that his former team needs to

make significant organizational changes in order to contend for another championship.

Owens said to Hill and Shasky, “With the Cowboys, honestly,

I kind of expected that and that’s just me being honest.”

I make an effort to remove my preconceptions and sort of step outside of my identity as a fan.

However, the company is simply not managed very properly.

I believe that for that squad to truly succeed, some front-office and hierarchy-type adjustments will be necessary,

most likely beginning with  the owner and maybe the GM. That’s just me.

“They’re not going to win any time soon.”

For the third year in a row, the Cowboys concluded the regular season with a 12-5 record and

were eliminated in the divisional or wild-card round of the playoffs.

Although there is a ton of talent on Dallas’ roster on both sides of the ball,

Owens believes that general manager and team owner Jerry Jones,

who signed Owens to a $25 million free-agent contract in 2006—is now holding the team back.

Although Jones, 81, doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon,

Owens believes the Cowboys should prepare for more early playoff exits in the near future.
