Rangers transfer news on Marko Bulat, Josh Doig and Harry Souttar

It’s been a frustrating window so far for the Ibrox side and their fans

Rangers have made just one January signing despite being linked to a whole host of names.

Marko Bulat is the most recent person to fall into that category as talk of moving to Ibrox this month has faded. As we previously reported,

Nils Koppen and his recruitment staff had first dibs on the Dinamo Zagreb midfield player,

with pursuing a midfield player.

Football Scotland led the way on this one.

We did clarify that the £5 million price tag might be too high for the Light Blues,

and now that the 22-year-old Croatian has signed a new contract with his current team,

the manager of the Gers will need to go elsewhere to fill the holes in the middle of the field.

Ryan Kent is someone who could end up being Bulat’s teammate.

The former Ibrox winger is leaving Fenerbahce and has received a loan offer from Zagreb.

Another player connected to the Rangers, Josh Doig, has now decided what to do with his future.

The 21-year-old left-back is set to leave Hellas Verona for fellow Serie A team Sassuolo after his dream move to Marseille was derailed.

David Jurasek, another left-back on Rangers’ radar, has decided to join Hoffenheim in Germany.

The Benfica player was rumored to be interested in joining the Gers on loan, but he will instead go to the Bundesliga with a buyout option.

Harry Souttar has acknowledged that if he wants to remain in the Australia squad,

he cannot continue to languish on the Leicester bench.

The center-back, who was a target for Rangers under former manager Michael Beale,

is not playing for the Foxes and is the brother of Gers star John.

Ibrox great Ally McCoist has identified three areas where his former team needs to improve.

“Rangers have to strengthen,” he declared. With Danilo out with an injury,

the center forward position is questionable.

Wide areas most definitely require reinforcement, ideally with another midfield player.

Tavernier’s comeback has been absurd from the back.

Yilmaz was almost on his way to Verona, but that trip appears to be delayed.

Therefore, it doesn’t appear that Rangers will have many defensive opportunities,

and I don’t believe that defense is a top priority for them.

The goalie has performed beyond comprehension.

Therefore, they should reinforce the center of the park,

the broad regions, and the center forward.

They won’t get three, in my opinion. The most crucial factor, though, is that,

should they add anyone,it would be far preferable to ,add two players who will immediately become part of the team than four players for the squad. They require the beginnings.”
