Specific transfer for Rangers player now ‘more distant’ – Seemingly just one club left in the race for now

We reported on a Turkish article earlier on Thursday,

according to which Ridvan Yilmaz was awaiting an agreement between Rangers and Galatasaray over a move.

Even though he was under Philippe Clément,

there was a contention that if he was playing for the Süper Lig team,

who isn’t exactly thrilled with Angeliño,

he would have a greater chance of helping his country prepare for the Euros.

Rangers will therefore let him go when they are pleased,

as stated by their management, and are waiting for the proper offer.

However, as Corriere di Verona has revealed, none of this helps Hellas Verona.

The tabloid, which had previously expressed great confidence that

the Serie A team would be able to sign the Turkish defender,

is now stating that the move is “more distant.”

Their failure to sell Josh Doig, who was originally linked to Marseille and then Sassuolo (who are still chasing him),

has contributed to this, as he would have cleared the way for the Rangers player to join.

As a result, it seems that Yilmaz, who was previously rumoured to be opposed to returning to his own country,

is now stuck with Galatasaray or nothing.

Vincenzo Montella has persuaded him otherwise,

stating that he must be playing frequently in order to be included in his squad.
