JAMES FORREST: THE MAKING OF A CENTURY BHOY

On October 15, 2022, in Celtic’s 6-1 victory at Parkhead, James Forrest scored three goals into the Hibs net to become a ton-up Bhoy.

With his deadly finishing display, the veteran winger—making his 451st first-team appearance—joined the

prestigious Celtic Ton-Up Club.

With an incredible total of 468 strikes, Forrest became the 30th player in Parkhead history to reach 100 goals and earn a spot in the Hoops’ Hall of Fame among the famous Jimmy McGrory, Henrik Larsson, and Lisbon Lions Bobby Lennox, Stevie Chalmers, and John Hughes.

After the match, the 32-year-old Scotland international grinned and said, “I’m buzzing.”

“It’s amazing, and all I want to do is keep working hard to score goals.” It’s an amazing feeling and a terrific accomplishment.

And Forrest has lived up to his promise; on November 4 of last year, at Dingwall, he scored a goal in the 3-0 victory over Ross County, marking his FIFTEENTH consecutive season with a goal.

Ironically, 35 of the strikes have proven to be game-winning.

Since making his goalscoring debut on May 1, 2010, in a 4-0 victory over Motherwell at Parkhead, Forrest has scored in each of the previous campaign’s games.

He also hammered one into the St Johnstone net during a 3-1 victory in Perth last month, and as of right now, there will be additional festivities.
Since Forrest was first introduced to the Celtic supporters, here are the seasons and goal totals.
