Aston Villa ‘initiate contact’ to sign £12.8m Wolves and Nottingham Forest target
The most recent transfer rumors as Nottingham Forest, Wolves, and Aston Villa compete for a £12.8 million
Dortmund outcast in the Premier League.
Along with two other Premier League teams, Aston Villa has apparently contacted Borussia Dortmund on the availability of Giovanni
Reyna, an attacker for the United States national team.
When Reyna moved to Dortmund in July 2019, he was regarded as one of the most fascinating young talents on the planet and had the
whole world at his disposal in terms of wonderkids. But after four and a half years,
BVB just has the adaptable attacking midfielder as a bench option.
Reyna was a regular throughout his first full season in Germany as he notched four goals and seven assists in 32 Bundesliga
appearances. Game time has reduced ever since, though, with just 1,279 league minutes accumulated over the last two-and-a-half campaigns combined.
reports on football transfers Villa is attempting to provide Reyna with a way out of Germany because they think they can help him
realize his enormous potential. There are rumors that the Villans have formally contacted Dortmund,
requesting the terms of any agreement.
Wolves and Forest also keen on Reyna
Unai Emery’s side face competition for Reyna from fellow Premier League clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest.
The pair have also reportedly asked Dortmund about the 21-year-old as they hope to make a January deal happen.
With 24 appearances and seven goals for the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT), Reyna is a versatile player who can play as
a number 10, on either wing, or even as a deep-lying playmaker. According to ESPN,
Dortmund has requested €15 million, or £12.8 million, from potential suitors.
