When Henry spoke about his future on a podcast, he made one thing very clear:

“I’m not over yet. I want to win a Super Bowl; I’m not even close to being done with playing.”

The 30-year-old rushing back wants to finish his career with a club that is in the running for

the Super Bowl because he thinks he still has a lot left in him.

Two sources have now established a connection between the star running back and the Dallas Cowboys.

After suffering one of their most humiliating playoff defeats in recent memory, Jerry Jones,

the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, is obviously going to make a lot of changes

this offseason to ensure that this doesn’t happen again.

In addition to searching for a new head coach,

the Cowboys will also be seeking to bolster their roster with players,

and Henry has the potential to completely transform the already potent Dallas offence.

Tennessee Titans’ Derrick Henry Is Linked To The Dallas Cowboys

At the trade deadline, the Dallas Cowboys expressed interest in Henry,

but they were unable to complete a deal. They may now sign the running back as a free agent over the offseason,

and it seems that both parties are interested in working out a deal.

The Cowboys are starting their offseason weeks ahead of schedule,

and it appears like everything is blowing up there after their 48-32 loss to

the Green Bay Packers during Wild Card weekend.

Henry will be at the top of the list as soon as the organisation and Jerry Jones begin making off-season moves.

They are still processing the heartbreak of the season ending the way it did.

While Dallas has a solid back in Tony Pollard, adding Henry would only help in Pollard’s success as well.

It was clear from this year that Pollard is not able to carry that load of being the one back in the Dallas offense.

While Henry has clearly had some decline in the past two seasons,

it would be an incredible two running back of him and Pollard.

Dak Prescott had his best year with the Cowboys,

but having Henry in the lineup would help him as well to be even better.

In the playoffs, running the ball is crucial in dominating the pace of the game.

Henry would be a huge help to Dallas and it seems that the both want to get the deal done.

There will obviously be more than one team that will be interested in the star running back,

but as of now it appears that Dallas is the number one landing spot for Henry as

he will try to help a Super Bowl contender. We will see soon enough if this deal gets done.
