One of Celtic’s outstanding players is being pursued by three Premier League teams,

while there is growing doubt about a Rangers defender.

This season, Celtic is aiming for a record-tying third Scottish Premiership crown,

but they will face stiff opposition from Glasgow rivals Rangers, who have gained

momentum since the mid-October arrival of Philippe Clement.

Both title-chasing teams will likely find out their fate during the January transfer window,

and Celtic will likely have to fight hard to hang onto one of their best players in the face of

strong interest from many Premier League teams.

According to SBI, Brentford, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham are among the teams interested

in signing Hoops defender Cameron Carter-Vickers in January.

In August 2021, Carter-Vickers left Tottenham on a season-long loan to play for Celtic, where he went on to win the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup. Ange Postecoglou swiftly made that arrangement permanent, and the USA international has since become as a key member of the squad, winning a domestic treble in just his second season there.

Eight of the 26-year-old’s sixteen caps have come from Parkhead, where his success at Celtic has helped him to solidify his position as a regular member of the USA national team. Due to his consistency, Carter-Vickers has been named to the Scottish Premiership Team of the Season in each of the past two years, making him a major target for several Premier League teams.

The USA international’s services will be much sought after by Celtic themselves. At the top of the table, the Hoops lead the Gers by eight points, but if they win the two games they still have left, their local rivals might close the deficit to just two points.
