Ridvan Yilmaz has been informed by Philippe Clement that he won’t be moving until the Rangers find a successor.

The Turkish left-back has been the subject of transfer rumours for the entire month.

Galatasaray’s attempt to entice the 22-year-old to Istanbul has already been thwarted by the Ibrox club,

who turned down a £3.4 million loan-to-buy offer.

Hellas Verona, an Italian team, is also interested in the former Besiktas star.

However, Clement, who has suffered yet another injury setback after learning

that Kieran Dowell would miss two months of action,

says he won’t approve Yilmaz’s departure until he has secured a replacement to back up Borna Barisic as

the Light Blues get ready for a pivotal second half of the season.

Following Friday night’s 2-2 friendly match with Copenhagen, Clement declared,

“I fully commit to getting the best out of every player who is here, who is a Rangers player.”

However, we must talk about any offer that a player at Rangers receives

that is too good to turn down or that would benefit the team.

That isn’t the case right now.

“Ridvan arrived and got the game going.

We’ll have to wait and see. In the upcoming few months,

players must also demonstrate that they genuinely want to be here.

We must ensure that we have answers and be ready for anything, including every situation.

“We have two guys at that position [left back]. One’s contract is about to expire,

and there are a lot of speculations circulating about the other.

It follows that we must be prepared for that role.

We cannot continue with one left-back through three competitions.

That’s accurate. And it is the same in other positions.

The only new player Clement has signed thus far is Wolves star Fabio Silva, who is on loan.

He maintains, however, that he is not becoming irritated with the approaching deadline of February 1.

“In some roles, we require additional personnel,” the large Belgian acknowledged.

“I am aware that everyone involved in that club works day and night. We communicate often.

Although we’ve been rather busy with those things,

nothing is complete until a signature is agreed upon by the player, us, and the other side.

“So, as I wait, my attention is on the players present.

In addition to the conversations we are having with the participants,

I am observing the other players.

That’s what I have to do come January.

“For this reason, every manager looks forward to February 1st since it means that this busy time is finally gone.

I’m not irritated. I know everyone is working extremely hard for the club’s and the group’s best interests,

so that’s what I want. It’s challenging if it’s January 31st or tomorrow since we have no control over those events.”

Gers were back at Ibrox after spending the past five days recharging their batteries in Spain.

Clement was able to welcome back the injured trio of Ryan Jack, Tom Lawrence and Barisic against the Danes.

But the Ibrox boss revealed there is fresh woe on the fitness front after

Dowell returned from the winter training base crocked. Clement,

who watched Rabbi Matondo and Cyriel Dessers net in the Copenhagen kick about – said:

“Keiran Dowell was not here because he got injured.

He was really unlucky that he stuck in the grass on a bad pitch in La Manga.

He will be out for several weeks, I think around two months.

“That’s long term and that’s a big blow. Ben Davies is also still injured.

He’s working individually with the physios but he’s not there yet to train with the group.

I expected him back this week but it’s not the case.

The medical staff work with the players and some recover really fast, others a little bit slower.”
