Numerous teams are said to have made approaches for Luca Langoni,

a striker who is 21 years old, and Rangers is one of them.

The Belgian probably expected more in the door at this point in the window,

but Ibrox head coach Philippe Clement said he’may need to get creative’ in the transfer market

this month as he targets a number of positions,  notably at centre striker.

Only Fabio Silva, who came to the Gers on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers,

has joined the team thus far. Clement has previously acknowledged candidly that

he is looking for reinforcements at the team in order to launch a credible title challenge in

the second half of the season.

And that might take him to Argentine attacker Langoni, as the club is rumoured to be among several in Europe that have shown interest in his team, Boca Juniors.

According to a recent rumour in the Evening Standard, Fulham,

an English Premier League team, is expected to be circling the forward born in Buenos Aires,

who has also been evaluated by Nice, Sevilla, and Rangers.

Somewhere else, Josh Doig, a reported transfer target,

saw his ideal £4.3 million move to French powerhouses derailed when a deal ‘collapsed’ over the weekend.

After Les Phocéens ‘dragged their heels’ and targeted Young Boys defender,

the former Hibs left back was unable to make a high-profile move from Hellas Verona.

But even though Doig is now available once more,

it’s said that Rangers are also considering loaning Benfica defender David Jurasek to fill the void left by Ridvan Yilmaz,

who has been widely believed to be leaving Scotland this month.

Jurasek signed a lucrative £8 million contract to leave Slavia Prague in the summer,

but he failed in Portugal, prompting Benfica to consider short-term options for the player.
