Reported Gers target “allowed to leave” amid four club race for 5-cap international talent
Rangers are attempting to provide Philippe Clement with the resources he needs to contend on all fronts this season,
and David Jurasek is one name that just won’t go away.
The five-time international for the Czech Republic signed a £12 million contract with Benfica in the summer,
but after struggling to earn playing time, he is now being pursued by a number of teams, including the Light Blues.
Rangers is one of those teams, according to Christopher Michel of Sport 1,
who also revealed the other teams interested in David Jurasek. Clement is trying to bolster his team.
David Jurasek, a Rangers target, is allowed to depart Benfica.
The manager of the Gers needs to address other areas of concern.
Both a goal scorer and a winger who can provide assists and goals feel like positions that should be addressed both now and down the road;
both would be warmly received at Ibrox.
Since the window opened, there has been a lot of speculation linking Rangers to left-backs,
along with reports that Ridvan Yilmaz is almost certain to go.
However, what is the most recent update on David Jurasek?
Michel stated on X that teams in France and Germany are vying for his signature.
“After six months, the left-back is free to depart from #Benfica once more.
He is on the rosters of Glasgow Rangers and Marseille, two Bundesliga teams.
Prior to the Nkoukou agreement, the #SGE was also considering the Czech Republic in the summer.
“However, they are now in a good place and have already made plans for Nathaniel Brown’s future.”
It’s interesting to note that Marseille is the team who had conditions in agreement with Josh Doig,
but they’re getting impatient with Hellas Verona shifting the goal posts regarding his contract.
There won’t be any drama if the window closes and Rangers still have Borna Barisic and Ridvan,
who has also been mentioned as a possible departee.
Despite having completely different playing styles, both possess the abilities needed to contribute to a winning team.
Rangers appear to be keeping an eye on a few players,
but David Jurasek won’t be visiting Glasgow unless one of our two internationals departs.
