Celtic is one of several teams interested in Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, according to the Daily Mail.

At least three other Premier League teams could compete with Celtic, according to the report, since the 25-year-old attracted

attention from Brentford, Brighton, and Wolves last summer. If Kelleher chooses to leave, Liverpool will, however, want a “fair

transfer fee.”

Football Scotland also reported that the Irish international is said to be on a ‘list of prospective candidates for current number

one Joe Hart, who is out of contract in the summer’.

This season, Kelleher has made eleven appearances for Liverpool; five of those came in the Europa League, four in the Carabo

Cup, and two in the Premier League.

The transfermarkt valuation of the ten-time capped Irish international is £12.90 million, and Football Scotland reports that his

current pay is believed to be outside of Celtic’s wage structure.

The club would be taking a very big risk if they signed the Cork native, but it is unlikely that they would do so unless they think

the financial risk is worthwhile. That isn’t always the case at Celtic, but it’s not always a terrible thing either.
