Greg Olson will be interviewed by the Bears for the role of offensive coordinator: sources
Bears to interview Greg Olson to be their offensive coordinator: NBC Sports Chicago first reported the news.
According to sources, the Bears have interviewed quarterbacks coach Greg Olson of the Seattle Seahawks as their
fourth candidate for the offensive coordinator position.
Olson, sixty, is the Seahawks’ current quarterbacks coach. In reality, in 2003, he had been the Bears’ quarterbacks
coach. He has a ton of experience coaching in the NFL and has been doing so since 2001.
He has prior experience as an offensive coordinator. He was the offensive coordinator for the following teams:
Oakland Raiders (2013–14), Jacksonville Jaguars (2015–16), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2009–11), Detroit Lions
(2004–05), St. Louis Rams (2006–07), and Las Vegas Raiders (second stint; 2018–21).
It has been rumored that three additional candidates have been interviewed by the Bears for the offensive
coordinator position. They’ve spoken with Leon Coen, Klint Kubiak, and Shane Waldron, an Olson colleague.
