Is Mark Andrews returning to Baltimore Ravens?
Mark Andrews, a tight end for the Baltimore Ravens,
made a big step towards his comeback on January 12 when he was activated from injured reserve.
Andrews returned to the practice field on Friday after missing time due to
an ankle injury he suffered during the Ravens’ victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on November 16.
The Ravens now have 21 days to determine whether to promote Andrews to the active roster or keep him sidelined for the remainder of the playoffs after capturing the top seed in the AFC and a bye into the divisional round.
In 10 games this season—nine of which he started—the 28-year-old Andrews has 45 receptions for 544 yards and six touchdowns. His most notable year was undoubtedly 2021, when he recorded 107 receptions for 1,361 yards and was selected for three Pro Bowls. Andrews caught nine touchdown passes in that incredible season—just one short of his career high from 2019.
Over the course of his career, which has included 42 starts and 87 games, Andrews has amassed 381 receptions, 4,857 yards, and 40 touchdowns, demonstrating his reliable presence on the field. Fans of the Ravens will be watching the team’s postseason success with great anticipation for his possible comeback.
