Before Glasgow Rangers resume domestic play on January 20, they have one more week. This will allow Philippe Clement to continue working with his team.

The Belgian manager’s opportunity to spend more time on the training field with the first team group during the

winter break has been excellent, and it has resulted in a trip to La Manga.

The opportunity to refocus and regroup should hopefully result in long-term advantages and allow the Gers to add a

few more titles in the second part of the season.

The only player added to the squad thus far is striker Fabio Silva, and if Clement is serious about winning the

Premiership, he will need to bring in a few more players this month.

Naturally, a few names have already been connected to a move to Ibrox this month, but one of the most intriguing

players yet may be the most recent to be named.

Rangers’ pursuit of a new central player

The 49-year-old coach’s desire to add another midfield player this month is still well known, especially since Ryan

Jack and John Lundstram’s contracts expire at the end of the current campaign.

Right now, their future is still unknown, so it will be up to Clement to add another midfield player who might be a

long-term fit for the engine room.

According to Football Scotland, the Light Blues have ‘checked on the conditions’ of Marko Bulat, who is presently

playing for Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.

According to the report, the 22-year-old may be interested in leaving his own country in January, but there could be

a significant obstacle for the club.

Unless the Gers are able to offload a few players, this amount may be enough to keep the midfielder from playing this

month. Dinamo values the player at about £5 million.

Based on his age and his potential to become a world-class player, the club might be sensible to make an investment

in the young talent.

Furthermore, he might prove to be a significant improvement over Jack, who has been missing games this season

due to injury and is showing signs of being unreliable.

Marko Bulat might be better than Ryan Jack.

After joining the Ibrox team from Aberdeen in 2017, Jack is presently in his seventh season there. In that time, he

has made over 200 appearances.

However, prior to the 2023–24 season, Jack had missed an astounding 118 games for the team as a result of various

injury concerns. This is cause for concern, particularly because Jack will turn 32 next month.
