Roquan Smith On Ravens Defense: ‘We’re Just a Bunch of Hungry Dogs!’’

One of the most formidable defences in the current NFL as of 2023 is the Baltimore Ravens defence.

They were the first defensive unit in NFL history to top the table in takeaways (31), sacks (60),

and points allowed (16.5 per game).

Their triple crown triumph elevated them above other notable defences from the previous 20 years,

such as the Buccaneers in 2003, the Legion of Boom in 2013, and the Ravens under Ray Lewis in 2000.

However, the players on the team believe that their success this season was neither coincidence or surprise.

The way we practise and go to work each day, as well as how we attend games, is something we embrace,

according to Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith.

so I think that’s how we think. And it’s very nice when you think like that, man.”

There’s no doubting that Baltimore’s defence operates with this mentality.

It has helped them thwart some of the greatest offences in the league during the regular season.

The fact that the Ravens team was the top seed in the AFC before losing in

their opening game is another reason the club isn’t avoiding talking about their mistakes from 2019.

Smith plays on one of the NFL’s top defences and is among the best linebackers in the world.

There’s hardly a player (or quarterback) who would argue with him if he feels that playing defence is like being in the wild.
