Joe Gelhardt exit update at Leeds United as strict FIFA rules emerge

Following the revelation of stringent FIFA regulations, Football Scotland reports that Leeds United is unlikely to

permit Joe Gelhardt to go on loan from Elland Road.

The publication stated on January 10 that the Whites are unlikely to permit the 21-year-old forward to sign with

Rangers or Celtic because FIFA only permits six players to be loaned out to foreign teams in a campaign.

It is understood that the Old Firm rivals were interested in bringing Gelhardt to Scotland but, with Max Wober,

Robin Koch, Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca all currently on loan, Leeds only have one

loan spot left.
