Michy Batshuayi to Rangers transfer
links, player profile and analysis During
Fenerbahce forward Michy Batshuayi
has been linked to Rangers in an unexpected deal.
Just one striker has arrived at Ibrox so
far this month: Wolverhampton
Wanderers loanee Fabio Silva.
Given that Kemar Roofe is regrettably
unreliable due to his injury troubles and
Danilo is sidelined with an injury,
Philippe Clement may yet want to add another striker.
Now, there are some strange rumors
circulating about a possible signing of
Michy Batshuayi, the striker for Fenerbahce.
Due to pay, this one is undoubtedly a no-
go, but this month, Clement is connected
to an incredible offer for his fellow Belgian.
Michy Batshuayi, the story so far
Batshuayi bounced around a number of
Belgian clubs in his early days, spending
time with Brussels and Anderlecht
before finding his way to Standard Liege in 2009.
That’s where Batshuayi started to kick on
and he ended up becoming one of the top
young strikers in Europe, smashing 44
goals in 120 games for Standard.
Marseille came calling 2014 and the goals
continued to flow with the Belgian
hitting 33 goals in 78 outings, sparking a
huge £33million move to Chelsea in 2016.
Although Batshuayi has scored 25 goals
in 77 outings for the Blues, he was never
able to establish a consistent spot in the Chelsea lineup.
He ultimately spent the majority of his
time on loan, having a fantastic stint at Borussia Dortmund in 2018.
Before ultimately departing Chelsea
permanently in 2022, Batshuayi had hot
and cold stints at Valencia, Crystal Palace (twice), and Besiktas.
Despite just starting one league game this
season, Batshuayi, who has scored 27
goals in 52 games for Belgium, scored 20
goals in his debut season with Fenerbahce.

It was intriguing to observe not only the
player—I had an inkling of Michy’s
abilities, but it’s always helpful to see
them up close—but also the character.
His training methods, attitude, and
quality when he plays—which is, of
course, the most crucial aspect—have all
been excellent since the beginning of the
season. Goal-scoring is his passion, and
he works hard to achieve it,” said former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.
Former Belgium manager Roberto
Martinez said, “Michy Batshuayi has
proven again that he is a real goal-scorer
and his performances in the national
team speak for themselves.”
