Sam Lammers notes that the Rangers transfer escape path has become evident when Utrecht ‘gave’ a career lifeline to the misfit.
Sam Lammers, a struggling player for the
Rangers, may get a career lifeline from Utrecht.
Michael Beale reportedly paid £3.5
million to bring the dynamic attacker
from Serie A team Atalanta to Ibrox in
the summer. However, in his brief time
in the Scottish Premiership, he has not
impressed. The 26-year-old has only
scored twice this season; his most recent
goal came in a 5-0 demolition of Dundee back in November.
The attacker may be deemed surplus to
needs as Philippe Clement looks to instill
his own stamp on the team while the
Scottish Premiership is in hibernation.
Reports from Holland suggest that a loan
exit may be imminent, even though
Lammers only signed a four-year
contract last summer. But according to
reports from AD/UN and De Telegraaf, he
may be returning to his own country.
According to rumors, they are already
attempting to reach an agreement with
Rangers in order to get a loan that would
last until the end of the current
campaign. Lammers is unlikely to stay at
Ibrox, even if it is a loan.
