Rangers dodge FIFA knock on the door after summer transfer choice

Over the past ten years, Rangers have had enough courtroom drama to fill a lifetime; the last thing they would

want is FIFA knocking on their door.

That’s precisely what could be going on with Celtic throughout the city as attention is drawn to Luis Palma’s

relocation from Aris Salonika.

In the midst of rumors, Rangers News talked about the winger’s convoluted ownership structure and how FIFA

was called in to resolve an issue that his former team, Vida in Honduras, had raised, according to The Sun.

Before the transfer season even opened, Palma was among the first players to be connected and implied that a

winger would be on the shopping list.

What made things worse was that Fashion Sakala sold when Ryan Kent left at the conclusion of his contract and

there was no replacement.

The only silver lining has been the way injuries and a lack of depth have made Ross McCausland indispensable.

Although he isn’t as outstanding as Jota, Palma has performed admirably for Celtic and may have contributed to

replace the figures Sakala used to deliver.

During his announcement at Parkhead, the player discussed the Rangers’ alleged interest:

“My agent informed me that there was communication with the Rangers, but I had already made up my mind to

come here and play for one team, Celtics.”

There was never any confirmed bid, in fact, Michael Beale claimed that there had never even been any interest

from the club, despite being offered the player.

Given that Vida president Luis Cruz is now seeking to FIFA for his side’s fair portion of the sale, Rangers’ lack of a firm bid might not be a bad thing:

and Million Manhoef.

The Gers were strongly linked with a last minute summer move for the Australian international defender, 25, who

has only made four appearances for the club this season.
