“If they could pull it off…” Reporters are giddy over the “really exciting” Rangers transfer rumor.

The possibility that Rangers may soon sign a “really exciting” offensive player who will “get fans off their seats” excites journalist Dean Jones.

“In terms of Manhoef, it would be a really exciting signing actually. He is a tricky player. He is one that’s really

difficult to track. He has very smart little movements and a result of those movements is actually that he picks up

the ball in really nice positions in and around the box. It’d be a really savvy signing by Rangers, actually. And if

they could pull it off, he’s the sort of player that will get fans off their seats.”

Given that Jones has been helping Vitesse this season and that the club is expected to finalize a trade for Manhoef

this month, his remarks will undoubtedly pique the interest of Rangers supporters. In his 14 Eredivisie starts, the

Dutchman has averaged 1.7 tackles per game in addition to his four goals, demonstrating his versatility both in and

out of possession.

Manhoef’s versatility is another important quality. The Vitesse star can play all attack positions, although
