After sustaining a fractured left hand on Friday, Chris Paul underwent successful surgery, and NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski has disclosed the length of time the Warriors guard will be off.

Wojnarowski wrote, “Chris Paul is expected to miss four to six weeks, sources told ESPN on Sunday.”

“Paul, who hurt his hand during Friday night’s victory over the Detroit Pistons, will begin an eight-day All-Star break in five weeks, which will help ease the pain of missing games early in the season.”

In the Warriors’ 113-109 victory over the Pistons in the third quarter, Paul attempted a three-point shot from the right wing but missed.

He went to try and get the rebound, but made contact with Detroit’s Jaden Ivey and grabbed at his hand before heading to the locker room.

After the game, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr remarked, “That’s tough, I feel so bad for Chris.

I know he’s had a couple of hand surgeries before, maybe on the other hand.” “I became concerned as soon as I noticed he was holding it.

I just got off the floor and heard the news.

I’m really sorry for Chris, and I’m sure that everyone will step up and be eager to play. Without him, we must continue to hold down the fort.

With a 17–18 record, the club will undoubtedly need to come together without Paul or else they run the risk of losing out on the Play-In Tournament.

Paul’s injury comes as Draymond Green was reinstated by the NBA on Saturday from an indefinate suspension that spanned 12 games.
