Billy Donovan on Zach LaVine’s fit with the improved Chicago Bulls: “He should fit in fine”

The impact of Zach LaVine’s return to the Chicago Bulls on a club that had performed admirably in December has been extensively discussed and written about.

Furthermore, the All-Star guard’s dominant usage rate presents a problem and might limit Chicago’s bright young star Coby White’s options.

Bulls coach Billy Donovan, though, views LaVine’s return as a boost rather than a disturbance to the group. Following their victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Friday,

Donovan spoke with media and emphasised his happiness to have LaVine back in the lineup, saying he thinks he will fit right in.

LaVine will blend in perfectly.

Donovan claims that LaVine is a perceptive and adaptable player who can modify his game to benefit the Bulls. Donovan said that LaVine’s skill was never in doubt and that, as long as he makes quick judgements,

he can have a variety of effects on the game.

Donovan stated, “I think he should fit in fine with the skill set that he has.”

“The most important thing I’ve noticed about him is how quickly he makes decisions—shoot when he’s open,

attack closeouts when he has the chance, and get off the field. It’s not like he finds it all that difficult.

Zach cannot be limited

Donovan conceded that players of LaVine’s calibre would have to find his flow in a game,

which might involve a couple of dubious shots.

When LaVine is healthy and playing well, most defences prefer not to see him.

It all comes down to finding a balance between being aggressive and making wise choices

because the head coach of the Bulls recognises how important it is to allow his star guard to create plays.

Donovan added, “I also know that guys establish a rhythm when they’re playing alongside guys who are elite scorers.

“Because he has undoubtedly demonstrated throughout his career that he has the capacity to cry.”

Furthermore, you don’t want to deprive a gamer of that. However, Zach has always been a good asset to our offence, whether he is driving the ball and finishing, drawing a foul, or shooting when he is open.
