Tottenham ‘are keen on signing Sevilla centre-back’ as Ange Postecoglou’s side look to bring in defensive
reinforcements in the January transfer window.
Tottenham is reportedly looking to add defensive players in transfer window and is contemplating an offer for one of
Sevilla’s top center backs.
The January transfer window has started off well for Ange Postecoglou’s team. On Sunday, the forward from RB
Leipzig is expected to arrive in London to finalize negotiations and go through a medical before joining Spurs on
loan.
The North London team is very close to signing defender Radu Dragusin after holding talks with Genoa over his
services.
Ahead of a hectic winter transfer window, rumors in Spain now state that Postecoglou’s team is also interested in one
of Sevilla’s defenders.
Tottenham is reportedly mulling a transfer for Sevilla defender Loic Bade, who just recently on a permanent deal in
the summer.
After failing to make an appearance during his loan at Nottingham Forest at the start of the 2022–2023 season, Bade
was called back and loaned to Sevilla.
Following his impressive 19 loan appearances, Bade secured a permanent contract with the Spanish team and hasn’t
looked back.
With one assist in his 11 La Liga games this season, the 23-year-old has been a pillar of their defense the entire time.
As Timo Werner nears a transfer to Tottenham, the team anticipates adding at least one new player in the next few
days.

In Leipzig’s 1-0 friendly victory over St Gallen on Saturday, Werner was left out as coach Marco Rose stated, “It’s
right that Timo wants to go on loan.”
Timo is interested in attending the European Championships. We are hoping for the best for him and sending him
our warmest wishes.

back’
This season, the 27-year-old has made 14 appearances, mostly as a substitute, and has two goals.
Although it was reported that Aston Villa and Manchester United had inquired about his availability, negotiations
with Tottenham picked up speed on Friday.
On Saturday, the final details of the transfer agreement were being worked out. Werner’s projected salary of £4.5
million for the remainder of the season would be paid in full by Tottenham, and there will also be an option to buy
the player for approximately £14.5 million.
The transfer has drawn criticism because Werner’s time with fierce rivals Chelsea was not well received. Nonetheless,
Werner’s quickness and unselfish work ethic are what Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou sees as the perfect
combination for his team and his methods.
Due to Son Heung-min’s involvement for South Korea in the Asia Cup, Alejo Veliz’s knee injury, and Saudi Arabia’s
interest in Richarlison—which is probably going to be rejected until the summer at the latest—Tottenham will be
without the player for almost a month.
