Rangers transfer bulletin as Million Manhoef drops major clue while Malik Tillman payday jeopardised by familiar trick
Rangers transfer bulletin as Million Manhoef drops major clue while Malik Tillman payday jeopardised by familiar
trick. In the midst of rumors that he would join Rangers, Vitesse Arnhem star Million Manhoef has maintained
harmony with his team leaders.
The winger, who is drawing interest from Scotland Premiership side, England, and Spain, could be profitable for the
Dutch team. In search of winter reinforcements, Philippe Clement and director of football Nils Koppen are searching
the Dutch market. With Abdallah Sima abroad representing Senegal at the AFCON, Manhoef has become a target.
He may depart Brighton at the end of his loan period.
Reports in the Netherlands
Reports in the Netherlands had suggested that despite needing money to keep the club afloat Vitesse boss Edwards
Sturing and technical director Benjamin Schmedes would veto any exit to assist in the survival bid of the club. And
Manhoef has insisted he is up for the fight – hinting a stay in the Eredivisie could be on the cards for the remainder of
the campaign.
During Vitesse’s winter training camp, the 22-year-old said to De Gelderlander, “There are times when we have good
phases in a match, but then something dramatic happens again.” At Vitesse, there needs to be a lot more consistency.
We must battle for each other as we need all the points.”
In other news, Malik Tillman’s permanent transfer to PSV may be called off by Bayern Munich, which would prolong
the possibility that a windfall will arrive at Ibrox during this window. Rangers might receive a windfall of £1.4
million in January after PSV technical director Earnie Stewart expressed confidence in the possibility of a
transaction.
The loaned money The Bayern Munich star was a key member of the Ibrox team the previous season, but as the
German powerhouses reconsidered his future, the agreement to extend the loan to Scottish football permanently fell
through this summer. However, Rangers were compensated approximately £1 million after the Bundesliga
heavyweights withdrew from the agreement, and they are purportedly entitled to an additional 10% sell-on of the
American Internationals future fee.
And a report in the Netherlands suggest PSV face a similar stumbling block to the Light Blues. Eindhovens
Dagblad state that there are “conditions in place” that could prevent a deal this month. The report claims Bayern can
cancel an option to purchase Tillman provided the Germans “pay a fine”.
With Ridvan Yilmaz inching closer to the exit door, a left-back is near the top of the agenda. Philadelphia Union
defender Kai Wagner is a free agent having not returned to pre-season training with the club – and looks to have
attracted interest from Ibrox.
